And if you want to create your levels you are able to with the level editor! The gameplay is fun and levels can be completed quicly. The other issue that I found is that sometimes levels require pixel-perfect precision in some areas, mostly to avoid enemies.īut after saying that, the puzzles are (mostly) fun and diverse, the slimes are adorable and it’s nice to see some sort of “story” going on. In some levels there are special blocks that increase the overall speed of the level when they are being touched, but once the player leaves that block, the speed goes back to normal. Sure thing, they are slime but I didn’t expected them to be a bit faster, and the same can be said for the enemies. The biggest issue I had with Hoggy 2 is that the movement is SLOW. There are some secrets too, marked with “?”, which can be used to access even more levels while using the special power ups in the game hub. There are some boss fights too that are mostly there to see if you learned how the mechanics work. The levels are very varied and they don’t feel repetitive. And while the levels don’t stress the player, they gradually need more and more thinking and some trial and error. While the game looks relatively simple, the difficulty of the puzzles increases very quickly. But worry not, while our slimy friends can’t jump just like Mario would, they are very sticky, and they will stick to the ceiling! And not only that, but in certain levels there are special power ups, such as ghost peppers that will lit your slime on fire and destroy any enemy they encounter! ![]() Once you complete a jar, you get a key, which are used to unlock more levels.Ī lot of the levels feature some sort of obstacle: enemies that will defeat you on touch or bomb blocks that explode when touched. Each level, called “jar” (since you must enter a jar to access it) has the same objective: collect all the fruits to complete it. Hoggy 2 features around 220 levels where the player, that can play as either as the purple Hoggy or the pink Hogatha. ![]() This time, two slime-molds called Hoggy and Hogatha must save their children from the evil Moon Men! It’s the sequel to the 2010 smartphone game Hoggy. Hoggy 2 is a 2D puzzle-platformer game developed by Raptisoft. I don’t know what those two slimy pink-ish things are, but they are adorable.

It’s one of the earliest examples of fashion branding. ![]() The famous LV monogram was first used in 1896 as part of an initiative by Georges to prevent counterfeiting of his coveted new line of travel trunks. It’s only appropriate that it boasts one of the most recognizable insignias - the imaginative interlocking of letters and fleurettes - in the fashion world. The Louis Vuitton brand embodies all the attributes of luxury, from the craftsmanship, exclusivity and relevance to heritage. The largest travel-goods store in the world at the time, it became the company’s flagship. In 1914, a Louis Vuitton store opened at 70 Champs-Élysées. ![]() When Louis Vuitton died in 1892, control of the luxury house was passed onto his only son, Georges Vuitton. Travel’s popularity broadened in the late 19th century, and Vuitton’s trunks could easily be packed into train cars and ships - upright trunks meant hanging wardrobe storage that would allow his clients to transport their sophisticated garments without worry. In 1858, Vuitton debuted his lightweight, handcrafted canvas trunks, which were sturdy, rugged and equipped with convenient compartments. The most common trunks of the era were round, which weren’t ideal for toting and storing. Long before his brand would become known globally for its exemplary top-handle bags and stylish totes, Vuitton produced stackable and rectangular trunks. The craftsman opened a humble workshop on rue Neuve des Capucines and advertised his services with a small poster that read: “Securely packs the most fragile objects. In 1854, Vuitton launched his namesake company. He toiled as a box maker and packer for more than a decade and built relationships with royals and members of the upper class while working for the empress of France, Eugenie de Montijo. When he arrived in Paris, Vuitton made a living with his hands. With stops along the way to make money so that he could forge ahead, the journey took a couple of years, but reward was close at hand. The young Vuitton was 13 at the time and would need to travel on foot to get to the capital, which was hundreds of miles away. The company’s modest origins can be traced back to when its founder, Louis Vuitton (1821–92), wishing to free himself from the conventional lifestyle in his provincial French city of Anchay as well as a difficult stepmother, left in the early 1830s to make a new life in Paris. The story behind iconic luxury brand Louis Vuitton - best known for its esteemed handbags, crossbody bags, leather goods, ready-to-wear clothing and more - is one of craft and innovation in the worlds of fashion, jewelry and furniture. ![]() I am a 3rd year software engineering student who had bought his first macbook less than a year ago and was excited to try all the new software that came along. It does show a band with a lot of potential room for growth, yet it falls flat when compared to later releases from the band. While the band would certainly go on to prove themselves in the years to come, Infernal Overkill is far from perfect. This is a standard and typical thrash album. All of the songs are extremely fast paced and heavy, yet there is no variety with regards to genre and style. The album clocks in at a mere 39 minutes, so it is a relatively short listen. The only thing the vocals really achieve, is giving the album a slightly more aggressive sound. The vocalist utilizes rough shouts and occasional low growls throughout most of the recording, and his performance never really lives up to the instrumentals. The vocals on the other hand, are very typical of the genre, showing very little variation in pitch, and tone. The drumming is equally proficient, and keeps the tempo at a decidedly fast pace, adding slightly technical fills at certain points in the album. ![]() The riffs are very compelling and are almost never overused, and when he does solo, it is frantic and expertly executed. From a technical standpoint, the guitarist can shred. Production aside, Destruction's guitarist is perhaps the major bright spot on this album. While this isn't necessarily uncommon for the time in which the album was released, it is nonetheless extremely disappointing. The overall sound of the album is muffled and dirty, and the bass lines are buried beneath the other instrumentals. Still, this album has more than its fair share of rough spots.įirst and foremost, this albums suffers from poor production values. Everything you can typically expect from a classic thrash record is here: whether its the technical and heavy riffing, the frantic and angry sounding solos, or even the energetic and fast drumming. Infernal Overkill combines raw aggression and sheer bravado together and the outcome is a mixed bag of highs and lows. Released at a time when thrash was in its infancy, this album shows a young band with much to prove and lots of potential, much like the genre itself at the time. Veteran metal act Destruction, a band known for popularizing thrash in Germany and much of Europe, had an extremely humble beginning. ![]() Review Summary: A debut that shows a lot of potential, but falls short due to shoddy production and underwhelming vocals. ![]() Creative logo animations - 1 By Evgeny Skidanov and Igor Ginzburg. Space Center Houston points out that you can't go inside any of the four real Shuttles, but you can go inside this one. ![]() Visitors can now tour the 747, full of displays about its unique job, then climb and walk through the Shuttle. Space Center Houston was shocked when it was denied one of the retired Shuttles, but turned lemons into Tang-flavored lemonade by acquiring the mockup Shuttle from the Kennedy Space Center (which received a real Shuttle) and mounting it atop one of the 747s that routinely flew the spacecraft from California to Florida. Out in front of Space Center Houston, performing the same "Hey, over here!" function as a dinosaur by the highway, is a scorched, 156-foot-long SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket that flew to the International Space Station twice and landed back on earth each time (it was installed here in 2020), and the world's only piggyback Space Shuttle. Historic Mission Control was fully restored in time for the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. "More than 20 million people have come through here, and I would say most everybody touches that rock." "We cleaned the Touchstone a couple of years ago," said Carmina (Earth fingers are dirty). In the center of the vault is the Lunar Touchstone, displayed in a case where visitors can insert their hands and put one finger on the rock. The rocks are inside a clean room replica of the lunar lab at JSC, which is itself inside The Lunar Vault with a giant steel door. Moon rocks are the most famous things touched by astronauts, and Space Center Houston houses the largest collection anywhere on display, chosen, said Carmina, to showcase the moon's diverse geology. The Lunar Touchstone has to be periodically cleaned of Earth finger grease. In contrast to the immense mockup, Space Center Houston also displays a tiny, frayed fragment of the real Skylab, one of the few pieces that survived its fiery reentry in 1979. That NASA would save something this big - a full-size fake antique space station - is as impressive as the thing itself. Especially impressive and unexpected is a full-size Skylab, America's first space station, which is so large that the Space Center had to be built around it. Space Center Houston is home to a number of the now-historic training mockups formerly used at JSC, the best surviving examples of habitats, craft, and vehicles that have since been lost in space, such as the Lunar Lander and Lunar Rover. World's only piggyback Space Shuttle display features a walk-thru Orbiter and 747. Carmina told us that visitors can "follow in the footsteps of astronauts," but when we asked if NASA planned to paint famous astronaut footprints on it, she laughed. It may be the only space relic that the public is allowed to walk on. ![]() Pete Conrad's Apollo 12 moon suit is here as well, still caked with 1969 lunar dust in its sealed display capsule.Īnother highlight of Space Center Houston is the Crew Access Arm, the formerly sky-high walkway between the launch tower and rocket ships from Apollo to the Space Shuttle. There are the Space Shuttle's two ejection seats, which were removed at astronaut request from the Shuttle after its crew increased to seven with no way of ejecting the other five. There are, for example, the well-travelled spacecraft from Mercury 9 (1963), Gemini 5 (1965), and Apollo 17 (1972), all dramatically staged with their interiors aglow. International Space Station replica hangs from the rafters in the Main Plaza. Ocean Echo Inn also offers complimentary breakfast to start your morning.
